Defining Your New Normal – Life After COVID-19
Updated: May 25, 2020
We are hearing a lot about the ‘new normal’ and how life will change for us after lockdown. ‘Things will never be the same’ we are hearing; ‘My work will be unrecognisable’ others say. Perhaps this is true, but what we don’t hear too much of is that the power in our hands to define our new normal.
In today’s episode I share a simple exercise you can do to define your new normal. What are the things you would like to change about your life when the restrictions are lifted?
Grab yourself a pen and paper and find out more here.
A lot of the work that I do is with corporate clients or coaching career women and when we talk about making positive changes, we know that it requires clear intentions and objectives. In our ordinary lives we sometimes forget to spend the time thinking of what is important to us.
Now is the perfect time before we are fully out of lockdown to reflect on your life and what changes you would like to make. The exercise in the video asks you to define your life into three buckets: What would you like to see more of, what would you like to have less of, and what would you like to stay the same. It only takes a few minutes but can bring some big insights. You just need a paper and pen, some time and a bit of reflection. Give it a go and see what comes out for you.
